SENIOR AFFAIRS COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES OF WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 9, 1991 <br /> COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Vice Chairperson Anthony, <br /> Commissioners Berglund, Lloyd, <br /> Metzdorf, Sharp and Truscelli <br /> COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: Chairperson Jordan <br /> STAFF PRESENT: Recreation Supervisor Mary <br /> Kucala, Center Coordinator <br /> Corinne Centeno, Library Supervisor <br /> Val Hamilton <br /> GUESTS PRESENT: Executive Director Maria <br /> Bransford <br /> Vice Chairperson Anthony called the regular meeting of the Senior Affairs <br /> Commission to order at 9:00 a.m. at the Fair Oaks Senior Center, 2600 <br /> Middlefield Road, Redwood City, California. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> A correction to the September minutes was made on page 2 under <br /> "Transportation". Commissioner Sharp said that the Fair Oaks bus does not <br /> transport seniors to shopping or doctors and that they only transport <br /> seniors to and from the Center. The minutes were approved as corrected. <br /> CORRESPONDENCE <br /> There was no correspondence. <br /> ITEM 1-Changes in S.S.I. <br /> Vice Chairperson Anthony was unable to get a speaker for today's meeting on <br /> this topic. He will try and arrange for someone to speak in November. <br /> ITEM 2 - Transportation <br /> This matter will be deferred until the November meeting when Chairperson <br /> Jordan will be at the meeting. It was mentioned that all Commissioners <br /> should read the memo on MTC/ADA which will be discussed at the next <br /> meeting. It was announced that an MTC meeting will be held in San Carlos <br /> at 5:30p.m. on October 15 at which time public input will be accepted <br /> regarding the paratransit program. <br /> Supervisor Kucala will try to get a taxi company representative to speak <br /> to Commission about their service and a possible script program in the <br /> County. <br />
