SENIOR AFFAIRS COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES OF WEDNESDAY, MARCH 11, 1992 <br /> COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chairperson Anthony, <br /> Commissioners Berglund, Jordan, <br /> Lloyd, Metzdorf, and Truscelli <br /> COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: Commissioner Sharp <br /> STAFF PRESENT: Park & Recreation <br /> Superintendent Sally Hartman, <br /> Assistant Center Supervisor <br /> Chris Oliver, Library Supervisor <br /> Val Hamilton <br /> GUESTS PRESENT: None <br /> Chairperson Anthony called the regular meeting of the Senior Affairs <br /> Commission to order at 9:00 a.m. at the Senior Center Annex, <br /> 711 Nevada Street, Redwood City, California. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> The minutes of the February meeting were approved as mailed. <br /> CORRESPONDENCE <br /> There was no correspondence. <br /> ITEM 1 - Vital Concerns of Seniors <br /> Chairperson Anthony said he announced to the Fun After Fifty Club that a <br /> questionnaire will be circulated regarding vital concerns of seniors. He <br /> wants to prepare a report to the City Council regarding the real needs of <br /> seniors in the community. He would like to see a questionnaire developed <br /> for seniors and centered around the following issues: <br /> 1) Income level , sources of income such as Social Security, SSI, <br /> stocks, bonds, gifts, pensions, subsidies, food stamps, <br /> MED-I-CAL <br /> 2) Expenses such as food, clothing, shelter <br /> 3) Utilities <br /> 4) Transportation <br /> 5) Medical , dental , medicines <br /> 6) Supporting children, others <br /> 7) Entertainment <br /> 8) Insurance <br /> 9) Depletion of reserves <br />
