SENIOR AFFAIRS COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES OF JULY 13,1994 <br /> COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chairperson Anthony, Commissioners <br /> Capone, Lloyd, Metzdorf and Newell <br /> COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: Commissioners Jordan and Sharp <br /> GUESTS PRESENT: Executive Director Maria Bransford <br /> STAFF PRESENT: Park and Recreation Superintendent Sally Hartman, <br /> Interim Recreation Supervisor Marianne Mannia, Library <br /> Supervisor Val Hamilton and Secretary Denise Monroe <br /> The regular meeting of the Senior Affairs Commission was called to <br /> order at 9:03am by Chairperson Anthony at the Fair Oaks Senior Center, <br /> 2600 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, California. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> The minutes of the June meeting were approved as mailed. <br /> CORRESPONDENCE <br /> There was no correspondence. <br /> ITEM 1 -WELCOME NEW MEMBER <br /> Superintendent Hartman gave the oath of office to new Commissioner Bill <br /> Newell and he was welcomed to the Commission by Chairperson Anthony. <br /> ITEM 2-INTRODUCE INTERIM RECREATION SUPERVISOR <br /> Superintendent Hartman introduced Marianne Mannia who will be the <br /> Interim Recreation Supervisor for the Veterans Memorial Senior Center. <br /> Her duties will include attending the meetings of the Senior Affairs <br /> Commission and Senior Advisory Council and helping with the supervision <br /> of the center. Ms. Mannia said she was looking forward to the challenge of <br /> working at the Veterans Senior Center and hoped to develop some joint <br /> programs with the Fair Oaks Senior Center. <br /> ITEM 3-PEER COUNSELING UPDATE <br /> Commissioner Lloyd reported that the Concerned Seniors have <br /> approximately $1,600.00 that might be available for the proposed Peer <br />
