SENIOR AFFAIRS COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES OF WEDNESDAY, MARCH 8, 1995 <br /> COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chairperson Lloyd, Commissioners <br /> Anthony, Capone, Metzdorf and Newell <br /> COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: Commissioner Jordan <br /> GUESTS PRESENT: None <br /> STAFF PRESENT: Superintendent Sally Hartman, Recreation Supervisor <br /> Linda Griffith, Library Supervisor Val Hamilton, and <br /> Secretary Denise Monroe <br /> The regular meeting of the Senior Affairs Commission was called to <br /> order at 9:05am by Chairperson Lloyd at the Senior Center Annex, 711 Nevada <br /> Street, Redwood City, California. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> A correction was made to the February minutes under Item 6. The third <br /> sentence should read that Commissioners Anthony and Metzdorf will not be <br /> reapplying when their terms expire in April 1995. Commissioner Jordan also <br /> noted that he would not be able to complete his commission term which <br /> expires in April 1996. The minutes of the February meeting were approved as <br /> corrected. <br /> CORRESPONDENCE <br /> Information was received from Debbi Jones-Thomas regarding statistics from <br /> Rosener House and Catholic Charities. This information will be discussed <br /> under Item 4. <br /> ITEM 1-TRANSPORTATION <br /> -Committee Report <br /> The Transportation Committee will meet on Friday, March 10. Over 700 <br /> transportation surveys have been distributed throughout the City at various <br /> locations and Supervisor Griffith reported 8 to 9 survey responses have been <br /> received so far. Chairperson Lloyd said he would like to get this subject on <br /> the agendas of the various senior groups. Chairperson Lloyd and <br /> Commissioner Anthony are working to obtain the SamTrans requirements <br /> for RediWheels in order for the committee to develop criteria for our <br /> transportation program. The results of the surveys are needed to identify our <br /> clients and their needs. Information will be developed regarding operational <br /> costs for the program. The Committee has outlined all facets of the program <br />
