SENIOR AFFAIRS COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES OF WEDNESDAY,MAY 10,1995 <br /> COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chairperson Lloyd, Commissioners <br /> Anthony, Capone, and Newell <br /> COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: None <br /> GUESTS PRESENT: Noreen Donohue <br /> STAFF PRESENT: Superintendent Sally Hartman, Recreation Supervisor <br /> Linda Griffith, Library Supervisor Val Hamilton, and <br /> Secretary Denise Monroe <br /> The regular meeting of the Senior Affairs Commission was called to <br /> order at 9:07am by Chairperson Lloyd at the Senior Center Annex, <br /> 711 Nevada Street, Redwood City, California. <br /> The following items were taken out of order: <br /> ITEM 2-WELCOME AND SWEARING IN OF NEW COMMISSIONERS <br /> Superintendent Hartman gave the oath of office to John Mooney, Steve <br /> Penna and Leo Walsh and swore them in as newly appointed Senior Affairs <br /> Commissioners. She announced that new Commissioner Betty Moran was <br /> unable to attend this meeting due to an extended jury duty assignment but <br /> she would be at the June meeting. Chairperson Lloyd introduced and <br /> welcomed the new Commissioners. <br /> ITEM 1-ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING INTERIM APPOINTMENTS <br /> Chairperson Lloyd appointed Commissioner Anthony to serve as an interim <br /> Senior Affairs Commissioner for the next month. This is necessary to give <br /> the Commission a quorum for meeting purposes. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> A correction was made to the April minutes to reflect that the meeting was <br /> called to order by Vice Chairperson Anthony. The minutes were approved as <br /> corrected. <br /> CORRESPONDENCE <br /> -A brochure was received from El Dorado Bus Sales. <br /> -The Commissioners were given a "New Lifestyles" booklet which lists senior <br /> care facilities in the Bay Area. <br />
