SENIOR AFFAIRS COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES OF WEDNESDAY,JULY 12,1995 <br /> COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chairperson Lloyd, Commissioners <br /> Capone, Mooney, Moran, Newell, <br /> Penna and Walsh <br /> COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: None <br /> GUESTS PRESENT: Housing Coordinator Debbi Jones-Thomas, <br /> Ian Bain, Ira Ruskin <br /> STAFF PRESENT: Recreation Supervisor Linda Griffith, Library Supervisor <br /> Val Hamilton, and Secretary Denise Monroe <br /> The regular meeting of the Senior Affairs Commission was called to <br /> order at 9:05am by Chairperson Lloyd at the Senior Center Annex, <br /> 711 Nevada Street, Redwood City, California. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> The minutes of the June meeting were approved as mailed. <br /> CORRESPONDENCE <br /> There was no correspondence. <br /> ITEM 1-UPDATE ON HOUSING INFORMATION <br /> Housing Coordinator Debbi Jones-Thomas told the Commissioners that her <br /> department is currently in the process of updating their list of low and <br /> moderate income housing in Redwood City and the final list will be available <br /> shortly. She announced the new Wyndham Place housing project has <br /> opened and is filled with the exception of one unit. Ms. Jones-Thomas was <br /> pleased to announce they were able to assist a first time homebuyer senior <br /> couple in the purchase of a unit in the Wyndham Place project. <br /> Ms. Jones-Thomas reported they have reached an agreement with Mobil Oil <br /> to clean up the site for the Main-Middlefield project. The City received a $10 <br /> million tax credit from the State and there are just a few more things to work <br /> out before the project site is cleared by the end of December and construction <br /> begins in January. <br /> Ms. Jones-Thomas reviewed the status of the Rolison Road project. The <br /> Redevelopment Agency has acquired five parcels which will be torn down for <br />
