C(-_..:djg-c 10/22/81 <br />OCT 2 6 1981 <br />R E S O L U T I O N N 0. <br />RESOLUTION VACATING PORTION OF PUBLIC STREET ORIGINAL <br />(HAZEL STREET) IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY IN <br />ACCORDANCE WITH PART 3 OF DIVISION 9, STREETS <br />AND HIGHWAYS CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Part 3 (commencing <br />at 58300) of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the <br />State of California, the Council of the City of Redwood City by <br />its Resolution No. 8974, adopted September 28, 1981, declared its <br />intention to vacate the hereinafter described portion of Hazel <br />Street; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said provisions of the Streets and <br />Highways Code, notice of intention to vacate the described portion <br />of the abovementioned street has been published and posted; and <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing has been held and evidence taken; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The Council of the City of Redwood City finds that the <br />hereinafter described portion of Hazel Street is unnecessary for <br />present or prospective public purposes and hereby orders said portion <br />of Hazel Street vacated. <br />2. The portion of Hazel Street vacated is described as <br />follows: <br />A portion of Lots 1, 2 and 3 in Block Lettered "L" as <br />designated on the map entitled "MAP OF BOYD AND KENT'S <br />ADDITION REDWOOD CITY, CAL.", which map was filed in <br />the office of the Recorder of the County of San Mateo <br />on June 12, 1905, in Book "D" of Maps at Page 10 and a <br />copy entered in Book 3 of Maps at Page 66, described <br />as follows: <br />BEGINNING at the most easterly corner of Lot 1, Block "L", <br />as said lot and block are shown on said map, said corner <br />also being a point where the northwesterly line of Hazel <br />Avenue (50 feet in width, as shown on said map), intersects <br />the southwesterly line of Madrone Street, (formerly Maple <br />Street, 45 feet in width as shown on said map); THENCE <br />westerly along the northerly line of said Lot 1, North <br />51°48'15" West. a distance of 10/04 feet to a point on <br />the southeasterly line of that parcel of land conveyed <br />to Ernest M. Canete and Edith Canete by Deed recorded <br />September 5, 1972, in Volume 6224 of Official Records <br />
