CIVIC CULTURAL COMMISSION Minutes of Meeting January 6 , 1977 Vice Chairman John Krueger opened the meeting at 7 : 45 , p . m . , in the Conference e Room of the Community Activities Building , 1400 Roosevelt Avenue , Redwood City. COMMISSIONERS PRESENT : Annette Howitt , Zelda Bergman , Alice Kennedy , Kay Mears , and John Krueger STAFF PRESENT : Max Weeks , Director of Parks & Recre - ation ; Sally Hartman , Recreation Supervisor GUEST : Karl Vollmayer , City Librarian Com Issioner Bergman requested a correction of the minutes of the meeting of December 2 , 1976 , to show that she was present at the meeting . MOTION : The motion was made by Commissioner Howitt , seconded by Commissioner Mears , that the minutes be approved as corrected . The motion carried unanimously by voice vote , CORRESPONDENCE : Mr , Vollmayer distributed an invitation to an open house to be held at the Redwood City Library on Sunday , January 30 , 1977 , from 2 : 00 to 4 : 00 , p . m . The open house will provide an oppor- tunity to the public to review the exhibit of local historical material , including the Richard Schellens Collection . He indi - cated that the Archives Committee has been compiling all types of material during the past two years . He felt that this open house would be of interest to the Commissions AGENDA ITEM 1 -- Scheduling, of Calendar of Events : Commissioner Kennedy reviewed the progress which she had made with respect to the Master Calendar of Events . She indicated that the calendar should be completed and available to the Com- mission at the next meeting . The material will be typed and distributed to all members . Continuing with the discussion relative to scheduling of forth- coming special events , it was pointed out that the quilt demon- stration program to be held at Canada College on February 27th would not interfere with the proposed Spring Quilting Show to be sponsored by the Commission . Available dates of April 2 and 3 and June 11 and 12 were discussed . However , no decision was made relative to these dates . It was pointed out that a specific date must be determined no later than the February meeting .
