CIVIC CULTURAL COMMISSION <br /> Minutes of Meeting <br /> January 6 , 1977 <br /> Vice Chairman John Krueger opened the meeting at 7 : 45 , p . m . , <br /> in the Conference e Room of the Community Activities Building , <br /> 1400 Roosevelt Avenue , Redwood City. <br /> COMMISSIONERS PRESENT : Annette Howitt , Zelda Bergman , Alice <br /> Kennedy , Kay Mears , and John Krueger <br /> STAFF PRESENT : Max Weeks , Director of Parks & Recre - <br /> ation ; Sally Hartman , Recreation <br /> Supervisor <br /> GUEST : Karl Vollmayer , City Librarian <br /> Com Issioner Bergman requested a correction of the minutes of <br /> the meeting of December 2 , 1976 , to show that she was present <br /> at the meeting . <br /> MOTION : The motion was made by Commissioner Howitt , seconded <br /> by Commissioner Mears , that the minutes be approved <br /> as corrected . The motion carried unanimously by <br /> voice vote , <br /> CORRESPONDENCE : <br /> Mr , Vollmayer distributed an invitation to an open house to be <br /> held at the Redwood City Library on Sunday , January 30 , 1977 , <br /> from 2 : 00 to 4 : 00 , p . m . The open house will provide an oppor- <br /> tunity to the public to review the exhibit of local historical <br /> material , including the Richard Schellens Collection . He indi - <br /> cated that the Archives Committee has been compiling all types <br /> of material during the past two years . He felt that this open <br /> house would be of interest to the Commissions <br /> AGENDA ITEM 1 -- Scheduling, of Calendar of Events : <br /> Commissioner Kennedy reviewed the progress which she had made <br /> with respect to the Master Calendar of Events . She indicated <br /> that the calendar should be completed and available to the Com- <br /> mission at the next meeting . The material will be typed and <br /> distributed to all members . <br /> Continuing with the discussion relative to scheduling of forth- <br /> coming special events , it was pointed out that the quilt demon- <br /> stration program to be held at Canada College on February 27th <br /> would not interfere with the proposed Spring Quilting Show to <br /> be sponsored by the Commission . Available dates of April 2 and 3 <br /> and June 11 and 12 were discussed . However , no decision was made <br /> relative to these dates . It was pointed out that a specific date <br /> must be determined no later than the February meeting . <br />
