RESOLUTION NO. 15-01 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE HISTORIC RESOURCES ADVISORY <br /> COMMITTEE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RECOMMENDING <br /> APPROVAL OF DOWNTOWN PLANNED COMMUNITY PERMIT NO. <br /> 2014-05 FOR 601 MARSHALL STREET IN ACCORDANCE WITH <br /> SECTION 2.1.4.D OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY'S DOWNTOWN <br /> PRECISE PLAN <br /> WHEREAS, Applicant, Dostart Development, has applied for a Downtown Planned <br /> Community Permit for the construction of a new 136,500 square foot office building and <br /> three other adjoining properties, consisting of 11-stories and a 308-stall parking garage <br /> (the Project), which abuts two historic resources, identified in the Downtown Precise <br /> Plan as a "Historic Resource to be Preserved"; and <br /> WHEREAS, under Section 2.1.4.D of the Downtown Precise Plan (DTPP), <br /> projects on properties located directly adjacent to an historic property as designated <br /> on the Historic Resources Preservation Regulations Map shall be reviewed by a <br /> qualified architect or architectural historian for potential impacts to the adjacent historic <br /> resource and by the City's Historic Resources Advisory Committee (HRAC) for its <br /> potential impacts on the adjacent historic resources; and <br /> WHEREAS, on January 22, 2015, the HRAC conducted a public meeting, in <br /> accordance with all applicable requirements of State Law to review the report (Exhibit A) <br /> prepared by Richard Brandi, an Architectural Historian, approved by the Office of <br /> Historic Preservation and meeting the Secretary of Interior's Professional Qualifications <br /> Standards (36 CFR part 6) to determine whether the proposed Project would have an <br /> adverse impact on the historic resources at 611 Middlefield Road and 620 Jefferson <br /> Avenue.
