RESOLUTION NO. 16-01 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE HISTORIC RESOURCES ADVISORY <br /> COMMITTEE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY FINDING <br /> THAT THE PROPOSED MIXED-USE PROJECT LOCATED AT <br /> 603 JEFFERSON AVENUE WILL NOT CAUSE A SUBSTANTIAL <br /> ADVERSE CHANGE IN THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE HISTORIC <br /> RESOURCE LOCATED ACROSS THE STREET AT 620 <br /> JEFFERSON AVENUE , IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION <br /> 2 . 1 .4. D OF REDWOOD CITY'SDOWNTOWN PRECISE PLAN <br /> WHEREAS, Applicant, Jefferson Res, LLC, has applied for a Downtown <br /> Planned Community Permit for the construction of a new 196 ,628 square foot <br /> mixed-use residential and retail building , consisting of 8-stories and a 146-stall <br /> parking garage (the Project), which is across the street from a historic resource <br /> identified in the Downtown Precise Plan as a "Historic Resource to be <br /> Preserved"; and <br /> WHEREAS , under Section 2 . 1 .4. D . 1 of the Downtown Precise Plan <br /> ( DTPP), projects on properties located directly adjacent to an historic property as <br /> designated on the Historic Resources Preservation Regulations Map shall be <br /> reviewed by a qualified architect or architectural historian for potential impacts to <br /> the adjacent historic resource and by the City's Historic Resources Advisory <br /> Committee ( HRAC) for its potential impacts on the adjacent historic resource; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS , the Applicant hired Richard Brandi , a qualified Architectural <br /> Historian listed on the City's list of Qualified Historical Consultants, to analyze <br /> potential impacts to the historic resource located at 620 Jefferson Avenue; and <br /> WHEREAS , on February 11 , 2016, the HRAC conducted a duly-noticed <br /> public meeting in accordance with all applicable requirements of State Law, to <br /> review the report prepared by Richard Brandi, along with other associated project <br /> materials; <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br /> ATTY/RES0.0014/H RAC RESO 603 JEFFERSON AVE <br /> REV: 02-10-16 JS <br />
