Bolanos DIV =..-: Telephone (415) 780-7122 Police Chief FAX Line (415) 780-7149 ~ May 24, 1996 Mr. Charles Rigg 1001 Marshall Street Redwood City, CA 94063 Re: Woodside Terrace Kiwanis Club Carnival Dear Mr. Rigg, The City Council on May 22, 1996, by resolution 12758 has authorized me to issue this letter permitting the Woodside Terrace Kiwanis Club, through Butler Amusements, to conduct a Carnival in downtown Redwood City, subject to and in accordance with the terms and conditions herein. The permission herein granted is to the Woodside Kiwanis, (hereinafter, for convenience, called "Permittee"), through Butler Amusements by the City of Redwood City (hereinafter called the "City"). This permit is subject to the following terms and conditions: 1. Carnival. The Carnival shall be sponsored and conducted by Permittee. The sale of alcoholic beverages shall be prohibited. 2. Revocation. This permit may be revoked at any time without cause by the City of Redwood City. 3. Non-transferability. This permit is non-transferable. 4. Location. The City shall order the necessary temporary parking lot closures of the City owned municipal lot at Jefferson and Middlefield (refer to attached map) and provide barricades, but Permittee shall be responsible for placing the barricades. The areas as shown on the attached map shall be reserved for the Carnival. S. Dates and Time. The Carnival shall be held from 1 :00 P.M. on July 4, 1996. and end at 11 P.M. on July 7, 1996. Set up time will begin at 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 3,1996. The site will be cleared by 5:00 A.M. on July 8th, 1996. The Carnival shall not operate on Julv 4. 1996. until after 1 :00 P.M. or the end of the 4th of Julv Parade. whichever is later. 1 .-.,~...~., -, _d.
