CA 94063 <br />Telephone (415) 780-7122 <br />FAX Line (415) 780-7149 <br /> <br />April 1, 1997 <br /> <br />Ms. Catherine Brda <br />1731 Milton Street <br />Redwood City, CA 94061-3419 <br /> <br />Dear Ms. Brda <br /> <br />The City Council, on May 5, 1997, through Resolution Number 13070, <br />authorized me to issue this letter to the Optimist Club of Redwood City, <br />(hereinafter called "Permittee") permitting the closure of streets, to be specified <br />below, for the purpose of conducting an art and wine festival subject to and in <br />accordance with the following terms and conditions: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />EVENT: An art and wine festival called "THE CLIMATE BEST FEST". <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />REVOCATION: This permit may be revoked at any time without cause by <br />the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />NON-TRANSFERABILITY: This permit is non-transferable. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />EVENT CONTROL: Those portions of the event taking place in the public <br />right-of-way shall occur in a manner and shall be limited to that area <br />designated by the Chief of Police, If the Chief of Police determines that <br />the provision of police officers is required for the control of traffic in <br />connection with said event, permittee agrees to reimburse the City for the <br />costs of the officers. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />LOCATION: The festival will require the closing of: <br />(a) Broadway from Jefferson to Spring St. (the arch) <br />(b) Main Street from Marshall to Middlefield Road <br />(c) Stambaugh from Main Street to the bend in road (approx 150-200 feet) <br />(d) Wart Street from Parking Lot to Parking Structure <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />DATES AND TIMES: The hours of closing will be from 7:00 AM. on <br />Saturday, September 20, 1997, to 8:00 P.M, on Sunday, September 21, <br />1997.
