CIVIC CULTURAL COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES OF THURSDAY,JANUARY 6, 1994 <br /> COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chairperson Redington, Commissioners Ball, <br /> Filippi, Moran and Piulle <br /> COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: Commissioners Distefano and Fischer <br /> GUESTS PRESENT: Eric Kujawski, Don Saye, Steve Penna, and <br /> Jeff Harm of Redwood City Tribune <br /> STAFF PRESENT: Superintendent Sally Hartman, Library Supervisor <br /> Linda Hedges, Housing Coordinator Debbi jones-Thomas, <br /> and Secretary Denise Monroe <br /> The regular meeting of the Civic Cultural Commission was called to order at <br /> 7:03pm by Chairperson Redington in Room 5 of the Community Activities <br /> Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, California. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> Commissioner Piulle requested that the December minutes be changed under <br /> Item 2. She said the minutes should state that she asked that the amount of <br /> the grant for the Middle School Drama Program be increased from $2,000 to <br /> $2,500 after the original motion was made. The minutes were approved as <br /> corrected. <br /> CORRESPONDENCE <br /> -Commissioner Moran said the following correspondence was received this <br /> month: January/February newsletter from the Intergenerational Program, a <br /> mailing from the Palo Alto Players and a catalog from the California Arts <br /> Council. <br /> -A packet of information regarding charter schools was received from Henry <br /> Use. <br /> -A letter was received from Mayor Buchan regarding the donation of a <br /> painting from Gladys Woodhams. The Mayor requested the Commission <br /> write a letter to Mrs. Woodhams to be signed by the Cultural Commission <br /> and the Library Board. The Commissioners agreed to send the letter and <br /> Superintendent Hartman will check with Library Director Light. <br /> -Commissioner Piulle requested that all outgoing correspondence have the <br /> names of all the Commissioners on it. <br />
