CIVIC CULTURAL COMMISSION <br /> MEETING OF THURSDAY,JULY 7,1994 <br /> COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chairperson Filippi, Commissioners Ball, <br /> Distefano, Fischer, Moran, Piulle and <br /> Redington <br /> COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: None <br /> GUESTS PRESENT: Bert and Marjorie Liebert, Don Gielow, Keith Bautista, <br /> Earl Walker, Don Saye, Frank Bravo, Paula Leahy <br /> STAFF PRESENT: Recreation Supervisor Julie Hannon, Library Supervisor <br /> Linda Hedges and Secretary Denise Monroe <br /> The regular meeting of the Civic Cultural Commission was called to order at <br /> 7:08pm by Chairperson Jeff Filippi in Room 5 of the Community Activities <br /> Building, Redwood City, California. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> The minutes of the June meeting were approved as mailed. <br /> CORRESPONDENCE <br /> -A letter was received from Jill Korengold of Taft School thanking the <br /> Commission for the grant for their dance program. The letter also explained <br /> the program's budget and the success of the program. <br /> Several pieces of correspondence were received including the monthly <br /> newsletter of the Sequoia Art Group, a flyer for Families Arts Day, and a <br /> brochure from the El Camino Youth Symphony. <br /> ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br /> Don Saye thanked Commissioners Moran and Ball for judging the 4th of July <br /> Window Decoration Contest for downtown businesses. He also offered his <br /> services to the Cultural Commission to publicize our events and lend his <br /> support. Chairperson Filippi presen�ed an award to Don Saye to thank him <br /> for his efforts on behalf of the Commission. He said that Mr. Saye provides <br /> auxiliary staff support to the Commission and would like this matter added to <br /> the August agenda. <br />
