�� <br /> �_ <br /> CIVIC CULTURAL COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES OF THURSDAY, MARCH 2, 1995 <br /> COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chairperson Redington, Commissioners <br /> Ball, Distefano, Filippi, Fischer, Moran and Piulle <br /> COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: None <br /> GUESTS PRESENT: Vicki Whitten, Beverly Hillard, Don Saye, Bob <br /> Distefano, Mary Filippi, Judy Daher <br /> STAFF PRESENT: Superintendent Hartman, Recreation Supervisor <br /> Hannon, Library Supervisor Hedges, Project <br /> Engineer Brian Lee, Secretary Monroe <br /> The regular meeting of the Civic Cultural Commission was called to order by <br /> Chairperson Oliver Redington at 7:05pm in Room 1 of the Community <br /> Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, California. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> A correction was made to the February minutes under Item 11 in the first <br /> paragraph. The end of the second sentence should say "the attendance was <br /> low". The minutes of the February meeting were approved as corrected. <br /> CORRESPONDENCE <br /> The following correspondence was received: <br /> -An invitation was received from the San Mateo County Arts Council to the <br /> "Arts for the Future" breakfast to be held Friday, March 17 at 8:OOam at the <br /> Villa Hotel. The Commission was asked to be a part of the program and <br /> make a 5 minute presentation. <br /> -A calendar of events from the San Mateo County Arts Council. <br /> -NALAA (National Association of Local Arts Agencies) annual convention <br /> will be held in San Jose from June 11-13. Full registration costs are $400.00 for <br /> non-members and $125.00 for one day registration. <br /> -A newsletter was received from El Teatro in San Juan Bautista. <br /> -An invitation to the opening of the Redwood City Art Center Gallery. <br /> -A brochure on San Mateo County Arts Council exhibits. <br /> -A newsletter from the Sequoia Art Group. <br /> -Commissioner Filippi received complimentary tickets for the Commission <br /> for "Oklahoma" to be held March 3-4 by the Kennedy School Drama group. <br /> -Commissioner Filippi received a packet of information from ballerina <br /> Rosene Bena. <br />
