��. <br /> . <br /> CIVIC CULTURAL COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES OF THURSDAY,APRIL 6, 1995 <br /> COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chairperson Redington, Commissioners <br /> Ball, Distefano, Filippi, Fischer, Moran and Piulle <br /> COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: None <br /> GUESTS PRESENT: Ruth Waters, Rosine Bena, Don Saye, <br /> Bob Distefano <br /> STAFF PRESENT: Superintendent Hartman, Recreation Supervisor <br /> Hannon, Library Supervisor Hedges, Secretary <br /> Monroe <br /> The regular meeting of the Civic Cultural Commission was called to order by <br /> Chairperson Oliver Redington at 7:05pm in Room 1 of the Community <br /> Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, California. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> Superintendent Hartman confirmed that she spoke with the City Attorney <br /> regarding the Brown Act regulations and the Commissioners attending the <br /> Carrington Hall Committee meetings as noted under Item 9 of the March <br /> minutes. She said three commissioners can be on the committee and all <br /> three may take part in any discussion during the meeting. The rest of the <br /> Cultural Commissioners may attend the meeting but cannot participate in the <br /> discussion. Commissioners Ball, Filippi and Fischer are the Commission's <br /> representatives on the Carrington Hall Committee. The minutes of the <br /> March meeting were approved as mailed. <br /> CORRESPONDENCE <br /> The following correspondence was received: <br /> -A flyer announcing two performances by the Vintage Music Theater, one to <br /> be held at the Veterans Memorial Senior Center. <br /> -1995 performance dates for the Music in the Schools Program. <br /> -Complimentary tickets for the El Camino Youth Symphony's April 8 <br /> performance at the Fox Theater. <br /> -A postcard was received from Governor Pete Wilson stating receipt of the <br /> Commission's letter regarding their support of the California Arts Council <br /> funding. <br /> -A newsletter from the Veterans Memorial Senior Center. <br /> -Two brochures regarding the Sequoia Centennial Celebration including a <br /> Centennial Ball to be held September 16. <br />
