CIVIC CULTURAL COMMISSION MINUTES OF THURSDAY,APRIL 6, 1995 COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chairperson Redington, Commissioners Ball, Distefano, Filippi, Fischer, Moran and Piulle COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: None GUESTS PRESENT: Ruth Waters, Rosine Bena, Don Saye, Bob Distefano STAFF PRESENT: Superintendent Hartman, Recreation Supervisor Hannon, Library Supervisor Hedges, Secretary Monroe The regular meeting of the Civic Cultural Commission was called to order by Chairperson Oliver Redington at 7:05pm in Room 1 of the Community Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, California. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Superintendent Hartman confirmed that she spoke with the City Attorney regarding the Brown Act regulations and the Commissioners attending the Carrington Hall Committee meetings as noted under Item 9 of the March minutes. She said three commissioners can be on the committee and all three may take part in any discussion during the meeting. The rest of the Cultural Commissioners may attend the meeting but cannot participate in the discussion. Commissioners Ball, Filippi and Fischer are the Commission's representatives on the Carrington Hall Committee. The minutes of the March meeting were approved as mailed. CORRESPONDENCE The following correspondence was received: -A flyer announcing two performances by the Vintage Music Theater, one to be held at the Veterans Memorial Senior Center. -1995 performance dates for the Music in the Schools Program. -Complimentary tickets for the El Camino Youth Symphony's April 8 performance at the Fox Theater. -A postcard was received from Governor Pete Wilson stating receipt of the Commission's letter regarding their support of the California Arts Council funding. -A newsletter from the Veterans Memorial Senior Center. -Two brochures regarding the Sequoia Centennial Celebration including a Centennial Ball to be held September 16.
