CIVIC CULTURAL COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES OF THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 1995 <br /> COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chairperson Redington, Commissioners <br /> Ball, Distefano, Filippi, Fischer, Piulle and Saye <br /> COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: None <br /> GUESTS PRESENT: Tom Gilman of Architectural Advisory Committee, <br /> Peter Bliznick, Beth Ann Fischer, Dennis Lickteig, <br /> and Marie Immekeppel of Peninsula Center Stage, <br /> Bob Barry, Bob Distefano, Mary Filippi, and <br /> Councilman Paul Sanfilipo <br /> STAFF PRESENT: Superintendent Hartman, Recreation Supervisor <br /> Hannon, and Secretary Monroe <br /> The regular meeting of the Civic Cultural Commission was called to order by <br /> Chairperson Oliver Redington at 7:05pm in Room 1 of the Community <br /> Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, California. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> The minutes of the August meeting were approved as mailed. <br /> CORRESPONDENCE <br /> The following correspondence was received: <br /> -A newsletter from the Sequoia Art Group <br /> -An invitation to attend a reception and exhibition of art work by artist Ann <br /> Bullwinkel at Coyote Point on September 16 from 5:00-7:30pm <br /> -A notice from the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. <br /> -Art exhibition on September 21 by artist Dave Putnam at the Twin Pines Art <br /> Center. <br /> -A newsletter from the Fun After Fifty Club at the Veterans Senior Center. <br /> -An announcement for a chamber music concert at the Universal Fellowship <br /> Church of Redwood City. <br /> -Heritage Association will be honoring Jeffrey Filippi at a reception on <br /> October 15 at the Redwood City Elks; tickets are $20.00 each. <br /> -A letter was received from Bob Barry regarding our summer concert series. <br /> This letter will be discussed under Item 6. <br /> -Superintendent Hartman received correspondence today from <br /> Redevelopment Director Mike Church in response to the Commission's <br /> questions about redevelopment guidelines.
