CIVIC CULTURAL COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES OF THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 1996 <br /> COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chairperson Piulle, Commissioners Britschgi, <br /> Distefano, Filippi, Redington, and Saye <br /> COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: Commissioner Ball <br /> GUESTS PRESENT: Ken Rolandelli, Loretta Knight, Brett Martin, Zoltan <br /> Peter, Wanda Fonseca, Steve Penna, Ted Gawronski, Claudia Herzog, Peter <br /> Stalin, Park and Recreation Commissioners Susan Swope and Ed Nordness <br /> STAFF PRESENT: Superintendent Corinne Centeno, Secretary Denise <br /> Monroe <br /> The meeting of the Civic Cultural Commission was called to order by <br /> Chairperson Tamara Piulle at 7:OOpm in Room 1 of the Community <br /> Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, California. <br /> ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br /> Redwood City Optimist Club President Ted Gawronski thanked the <br /> Commission for their support and grant for the Climate Best Fest. <br /> Chairperson Piulle noted the Redwood City Tribune printed a letter thanking <br /> all the people who supported the Climate Best Fest but it neglected to <br /> mention the Cultural Commission. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> The following corrections were made to the October minutes: <br /> Under Item 2, add that Chairperson Piulle mentioned the new City Council <br /> chambers will have wood paneling. Under Item 5, the number of summer <br /> concerts should be 5 and one concert at the Port. The October minutes were <br /> approved as corrected. <br /> CORRESPONDENCE <br /> -A letter was received from Art Share asking for a representative and an <br /> alternate from the Commission to be on their Board of Directors. <br /> Commissioner Filippi will be making a presentation at the November 16 Art <br /> Share meeting and will report back to the Commission. <br /> -Commissioner Filippi stated at the September Commission meeting, Peter <br /> Bliznick mentioned about allowing students to watch technical dress <br /> rehearsals at the Fox Theater. <br />
