CIVIC CULTURAL COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES OF THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 1996 <br /> COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chairperson Redington, Commissioners <br /> Ball, Distefano, Filippi, Piulle and Saye <br /> COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: Commissioner Fischer <br /> GUESTS PRESENT: Bill McKenna, June Stone, Ray Dougherty, jill <br /> Korengold, Donna Weiher, Chris Burke <br /> STAFF PRESENT: Superintendent Sally Hartman, Library Supervisor <br /> Linda Hedges and Secretary Denise Monroe <br /> The regular meeting of the Civic Cultural Commission was called to order by <br /> Chairperson Oliver Redington at 7:05pm in Room 1 of the Community <br /> Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, California. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> Commissioner Piulle requested that the minutes of january 4 be corrected <br /> under Item 12. The last sentence of the first paragraph should read: <br /> "Commissioner Piulle said Ms. Webber will submit a miniature to scale color <br /> cartoon after a 20% deposit is paid". The minutes of the January meeting <br /> were approved as corrected. <br /> CORRESPONDENCE <br /> The following correspondence was received: <br /> -Exhibit of the Indigo Collection in Roseburg, Oregon during March <br /> -San Mateo County Arts Council exhibit schedule for January-February <br /> -Newsletter from the Veterans Memorial Senior Center <br /> -Newsletter from the Sequoia Art Group <br /> -Art exhibits at the Palo Alto Cultural Center <br /> -Announcement of a concert by El Camino Youth Symphony to be held on <br /> February 3 at the First Methodist Church in Palo Alto from 9:00-11:OOam. <br /> -Annual performance schedule for the Peninsula Center Stage <br /> -Audition announcement for the Peninsula Light Opera <br /> -Schedule of classes from College of San Mateo <br /> Superintendent Hartman announced she received a copy of the December <br /> and January minutes of the Historic Resources Advisory Committee (HRAC). <br /> The January minutes indicated the HRAC unanimously voted to ask all <br /> boards and commissions for their participation in National Historic Week <br />
