CIVIC CULTURAL COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES OF THURSDAY, DECEMBER 3, 1998 <br /> COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Vice Chairperson Redington, Commissioners <br /> Britschgi, DelCarlo, Pierce, Saye (arrived <br /> 7:35pm1, and Schenone <br /> COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: Commissioner Dale <br /> GUESTS PRESENT: Ruth Waters, Petra Reed <br /> STAFF PRESENT: Superintendent Corinne Centeno, Secretary Denise <br /> Monroe . <br /> The meeting of the Civic Cultural Commission was called to order by Vice <br /> Chairperson Oliver Redington at 7:10pm in Room 2 of the Community <br /> Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, California. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> M/S Britschgi/DelCarlo: To approve the November minutes as mailed. <br /> Motion passed unanimously. <br /> CORRESPONDENCE <br /> Superintendent Centeno reviewed various newsletters and notices of <br /> upcoming events. She read a letter from the Redwood City Kiwanis Club <br /> thanking the Commission for their grant to provide music at the Farmer's <br /> Market. <br /> The Commissioners received a membership renewal notice from the San <br /> Mateo County Arts Council; cost of the membership is 545.00 per year. The <br /> Commissioners discussed the membership and its benefits to the <br /> Commission. <br /> M/S Pierce/Britschgi: To continue membership with the San Mateo County <br /> Arts Council. <br /> Motion passed unanimously. <br /> Vice Chairperson introduced Petra Reed who has expressed interested in the <br /> Commission. He thanked her for coming and invited her to attend future <br /> meetings. <br /> ITEM 1 — LIBRARY PROGRAMS <br /> No report. <br />
