CIVIC CULTURAL COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES O� THURSDAY, �ANUARY 6, 2000 <br /> COMMISSIONERS PRES�NT: Chairperson Redington, Commissioners - <br /> Britschg�CofnFnissioners-Dal�, �e�Carlo, Saye, <br /> and Schenone <br /> COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: None <br /> GUESTS PRESENT: Community Development Director Deborah Nelson, <br /> Paula Uccelli, Andrew Frisch <br /> STAFF PRESENT: Superintendent Corinne Centeno <br /> The meeting of the Civic Cultural Commission was called to order by <br /> Chairperson Oliver Redington at 7:OOpm in Room 1 of the Community <br /> Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, California. <br /> APPROVAL OF iNINUTES <br /> Chairperson Redington noted that on Page 3, Item 4, the minutes should <br /> read that he, "suggested we re-visit the sub committee assignments after a <br /> new Cultural Commissioner, rather than Commission is appointed". <br /> M/S De1 Carlo/Saye: To approve the December 2, 1999 minutes as <br /> corrected. <br /> Motion passed unanimously. <br /> CORRESPONDENCE <br /> Superintendent Centeno reviewed the following correspondence received: <br /> • Letter from Tamara Piulle supporting Red Morton Park as the site for the <br /> summer concerts <br /> ■ Letter from Norman Shapiro of the Redwood City Kiwanis Farmers Market <br /> thanking the Commission for the $900 grant for entertainment during the <br /> market and listing all dates and presentations <br /> � Letter from Erin Raiser for the grant for their summer and fall programs at <br /> City Center Plaza inctuding dates and descriptions of all events <br /> � Newsletters from the San Mateo Arts Council, the Sequoia Art Group and <br /> the Veterans Memorial Senior Center - <br /> • Upcoming announcements of programs from the EI Camino Youth <br /> Symphony, the Peninsula Light Opera and the Redwood City Public Library <br />
