CIVIC CULTURAL COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES OF THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 2001 <br /> COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chairperson Britschgi, Commissioners Dale, <br /> Del Car1o, Douglas, and Kushin <br /> COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: Commissioners Ball and Soultanian <br /> GUESTS PRESENT: Kimberly Atell, Elena Mori, Sara Salsbury, Katherine <br /> Delfts, Joan Jordan, Georgi La Berge, Bruce Codding, Bill <br /> McKenna, June Stone, Lua Hadar, Greg Niemeyer, Shirley <br /> Masters, Kathy Heffernan <br /> STAFF PRESENT: Director Corinne Centeno, Manager Linda Griffith, <br /> Secretary Denise Monroe <br /> The meeting of the Civic Cultural Commission was called to order by <br /> Chairperson Barbara Britschgi at 7:OOpm in Room 1 of the Community <br /> Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, California. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> Commissioner Dale requested a correction to the January minutes under <br /> Item 1, Public Art. The third item under methods for applicant to pay for <br /> public art should read: "Lower cost % on project approved by Civic Cultural <br /> Commission". <br /> M/S Dale/Kushin: To approve the 7anuary minutes as corrected. <br /> Motion passed. <br /> CORRESPONDENCE <br /> The following correspondence received: <br /> -A letter from the San Mateo Historical Association thanking the Commission <br /> for its recent grant of $999.00. <br /> -A copy of a letter from Doris Stirm, Director of the Redwood City Art Gallery, <br /> to Michael Coffey regarding the Art Center's recent increase and requesting <br /> that their lease be extended until the end of the year at their present rent. <br /> -National Arts Association Stabilization Journal for Fall 2000 <br /> -Newsletter from the Sequoia Art Group <br /> -A letter from the Hillbarn Theatre requesting nominations for their "Bravo <br /> Awa rd". <br /> -Concert recitals for EI Camino Youth Symphony on February 3, 11 and 24. <br /> -Invitation to attend Kollage's '�A Midsummer Nights Dream" on March 3rd <br /> from 6:30-11:OOpm at Twin Pines Community Center <br /> -Spring 2001 concert calendar from College of Notre Dame Music Department <br />
