Armour, Dave Redfern, John Alita, <br /> Bob Slusser, Sharon Hom, Jeff Norris, Bill Anderson <br /> STAFF PRESENT: Director Corinne Centeno, Manager Linda Griffith, <br /> Secretary Denise Monroe <br /> The meeting of the Civic Cultural Commission was called to order by <br /> Chairperson Barbara Britschgi at 7:02pm in Room 1 of the Community <br /> Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, California. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> Commissioner Soultanian requested a correction to the March minutes which <br /> should reflect that she was in attendance at the meeting. <br /> M/S Dale/Douglas: To approve the March minutes as corrected. <br /> Motion passed. <br /> CORRESPONDENCE <br /> The following correspondence received: <br /> -Newsletter from the Veterans Memorial Senior Center <br /> -Newsletter from the Sequoia Art Group <br /> -Notice of Redwood Symphony performance at Canada College <br /> -Congress for the Arts Conference to be held in July 2001 <br /> -Redwood City Heritage Association newsletter <br /> -Peninsula Civic Light Opera newsletter <br /> -A letter from the Sequoia Art Group thanking the Commission for its $1,000 <br /> grant towards new art panels and advising the Commission they would like to <br /> give the Commission a painting at the art show. <br /> ITEM 1 — LETTER FROM DOWNTOWN BUSINESS GROUP REGARDING <br /> RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANNUAL `TIS THE SEASON EVENT <br /> Fred Ganjei, President of the Downtown Business Group, thanked <br /> Commissioner Ball for reviving the downtown children's parade and stated <br /> that last year, the Downtown Business Group organized the parade which <br />
