�. <br /> CIVIC CULTURAL COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES OF THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, 2001 <br /> COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Vice Chairperson Dale, Commissioners Ball, <br /> Del Carlo, Douglas and Kushin <br /> COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: Chairperson Britschgi, Commissioner Soultanian <br /> GUESTS PRESENT: Millie Cole, Linda Hayes, Julie Mooney, Eddie Rosensteil, <br /> Bob Parkhurst, Dave Stuart, Susie Stuart <br /> STAFF PRESENT: Superintendent Chris Beth, Secretary Denise Monroe <br /> The meeting of the Civic Cultural Commission was called to order by Vice <br /> Chairperson Warren Dale at 7:30pm in Room 1 of the Community Activities <br /> Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, California. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> A correction was made to the August minutes on page 3. The motion on the <br /> grant for Northstar Academy should reflect a vote of Yes-2, No-5. <br /> M/S Kushin/Ball: To approve the August minutes as corrected. <br /> Motion passed. <br /> CORRESPONDENCE <br /> -A variety of newsletters and announcements were received. No action <br /> required. <br /> -Commissioner pouglas received a letter from the Art Share Organization <br /> requesting the Commission pay its dues for 2001. The Commissioners <br /> discussed this matter and was informed that a bill for dues was never <br /> received for payment. Commissioner pouglas will follow through with Art <br /> Share. <br /> ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br /> Dave Stuart spoke on behalf of the 'Tis the Season Committee and gave an <br /> update on this year's program. He asked the Commission for their input on <br /> that they would like to see in the program. Commissioner Virginia Ball <br /> announced that Washington Mutual will be sponsoring the fireworks. <br />
