RESOLUTION NO. HRAC 113-02 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE HISTORIC RESOURCES ADVISORY <br /> COMMITTEE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DETERMINING THAT <br /> THE PROPOSED MIDDLEFIELD UNDERGROUND UTILITY <br /> DISTRICT (MUUD) TRENCH, CONDUIT, AND TERMINATION CAN <br /> WORK WILL NOT HAVE AN ADVERSE IMPACT ON THE <br /> STAMBAUGH-HELLER HISTORIC DISTRICT, 1204 MIDDLEFIELD <br /> ROAD, OR 142 STAMBAUGH STREET, AND PER SECTION 40.9(A) <br /> OF REDWOOD CITY'S MUNICIPAL CODE RECOMMENDING THAT <br /> THE PLANNING COMMISSION APPROVE THE ASSOCIATED <br /> PERMITS <br /> WHEREAS, Applicant, PG&E, has applied for building permits for <br /> trenching', the laying of conduit, and the installation of termination cans on properties in <br /> the Middlefield Underground Utility District in preparation for the undergrounding of all <br /> overhead utilities in said district; and <br /> WHEREAS, under Section 40.8 of the Municipal Code, it is unlawful to alter <br /> the exterior of a designated historic resource without the prior written approval of the <br /> Planning Commission; and <br /> WHEREAS, under Section 40.9(A) of the Municipal Code, applications to perform <br /> work which would alter the exterior of a designated historic resource shall be referred <br /> by the Planning Director to the Historic Resources Advisory Committee, who shall make <br /> a recommendation to the Planning Commission; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Historic Resources Advisory Committee has reviewed the <br /> proposed plans and has determined that the associated work will not have an adverse <br /> impact on the Stambaugh-Heller Historic District or the contributing properties within the <br /> district, nor will it have an adverse impact on the individually designated historic <br /> landmarks at 1204 Middlefield Road, or 142 Stambaugh Street. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC RESOURCES <br /> ADVISORY COMMITTEE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. The HRAC hereby recommends that the Planning Commission <br /> provide written approval to PG&E to perform the trenching, conduit, and termination can <br /> work for the MUUD project. <br /> Section 2.
