ATTACHMENT 1 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 14-05 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY DENYING THE APPEAL OF ULICES CAZAREZ AND <br /> UPHOLDING THE DECISION OF THE ZONING ADMINISTRATOR <br /> DENYING AN AMENDMENT TO THE USE PERMIT NO. UP2014-02 <br /> FOR 1020 HANSEN WAY <br /> WHEREAS, the Applicant, Ulices Cazarez, filed an application for Use Permit <br /> No. UP2014-02 which in effect was to amend the current Use Permit No. UP2009-28, to <br /> allow sale of beer and wine, expansion of business hours, and use of the facility for <br /> corporate events at an existing indoor recreational facility at the property located at <br /> 1020 Hansen Way, Redwood City, California; and <br /> WHEREAS, on March 19, 2014, the Zoning Administrator conducted a duly <br /> noticed public hearing, in accordance with all applicable requirements of the State <br /> Planning and Zoning Law and the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance, to consider <br /> approval of Use Permit Application UP2014-02, and received and considered oral and <br /> documentary evidence on the application; and <br /> WHEREAS, on March 25, 2014, the Zoning Administrator issued a Notice of <br /> Official Action for Use Permit Application No. UP2014-02, denying the project because <br /> the required Use Permit findings could not be made; and <br /> WHEREAS, on April 8, 2014, an appeal of the Zoning Administrator's decision to <br /> deny the Use Permit was filed with the City Clerk by the Applicant; and <br /> WHEREAS, on April 23, 2014, a public hearing notice was published in The <br /> Redwood City Daily News and mailed to interested parties and all property owners <br /> within 300 feet of the Property; and <br /> WHEREAS, on May 6, 2014, the Planning Commission of the City of Redwood <br /> City held a duly noticed public hearing in accordance with all applicable requirements of <br /> the State Planning and Zoning Law and the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance, to <br /> consider the appeal; and <br /> WHEREAS, on May 6, 2014, the Appellant and all other interested parties were <br /> given the opportunity to participate in the public hearing through oral testimony and the <br /> submittal of written comments; and <br /> WHEREAS, on May 6, 2014, the Planning Commission fully reviewed, <br /> considered, and evaluated the staff reports prepared for the Project including the <br /> ATTY/RESQ2976/PC DENYING APPEAL 1020 HANSEN WAY <br /> REV:04-29-14 JS <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br />
