' SIGN ENCROACHMENT PERMIT <br /> GRANT OF REVOCABLE ENCROACHMENT PERMIT FOR THE <br /> HOSPITAL WAY FINDING SIGNAGE FOR THE KAISER REDWOOD CITY MEDICAL <br /> CENTER <br /> (Kaiser Foundation Hospitals) <br /> This Sign Encroachment Permit ("PermiY'), effective as of , 2014, is made by <br /> and between the City of Redwood City ("City") and Kaiser Foun tion Hospitals, a California <br /> nonprofit public benefit corporation ("Permittee"). <br /> RECITALS <br /> A. On May 17, 2010, the Zoning Administrator of the City of Redwood City approved <br /> the Kaiser Permanente Master Sign Program for Permittee's Downtown Medical Campus, located <br /> at 1100 Veterans Boulevard, Redwood City, California, 94063. <br /> B. The Master Sign Program includes, among other things, off-site roadway <br /> directional signs, which are in effect hospital way finding signage, as follows: four(4) illuminated <br /> traffic signal mask arm mounted street directional signs and eleven (11) pole mounted vehicular <br /> directional signs("Signs"), all as more particularly identified and described in the Offsite Roadway <br /> Signs Location Detail prepared by GNU Group and dated February 18, 2014, attached hereto as <br /> Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by this reference. Refer to Exhibit "B" for existing hanging <br /> signs on Veterans Blvd. <br /> C. A revocable encroachment permit is required for the installation, maintenance, <br /> and replacement of the off-site roadway directional signs installed on City facilities located in the <br /> public right-of-way of Maple Street, Veteran Boulevard, Walnut Street, Bradford Street and <br /> Marshall Street, situated in the City of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State of California, <br /> and more particularly described and depicted as part of Exhibit "A," attached hereto and <br /> incorporated herein ("Permit Area"). <br /> ATTY/AGR/2014.078/REVOCABLE ENCROACHMENT PERMIT KAISER <br /> REV:05-28-14 VR <br /> Page 1 of 8 <br />
