Polati
522 Eastview Way
Woodside, CA 94062
Subject: Application for (Tentative) Parcel Map
Project No.: TM 2008 -04
Property Address: 343 Alameda De Las Pulgas
Assessor's Parcel Number: 058- 252 -010
Dear Mr. Polati:
The Redwood City Subdivision Committee held a public hearing on November 13, 2007, to
review your application for a Tentative Parcel Map to .subdivide the subject property, which was
not within Redwood City limits but was proposed to be annexed into the City, into three parcels.
The proposal is to allow the subdivision of a 26,467 square foot lot, with an average slope of 7.1
percent, into three parcels:
• Parcel "A" — 10,672 square feet
• Parcel "B" 8,444 square feet
• Parcel "CA — 7,351 square feet
The Subdivision Committee is comprised of the Planning Manager (or his /her designee), the
City Engineer and a Planning Commissioner. After hearing the matter, the Subdivision
Committee made a motion and voted to approve the proposed subdivision unanimously
contingent upon the proposed annexation being accepted and approved by the City, as well as
the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO). The subject property is part of an
annexation which includes three other properties along the adjoining street frontage of Alameda
De Las Pulgas. The proposed annexation area includes a total of four residential properties
(343 -- 375 Alameda De Las Pulgas) along the eastern portion of Alameda De Las Pulgas
between Brewster Avenue and Harding Avenue, as well as the street itself.
On October 24, 2006, the Planning Commission reviewed the application for prezoning and
annexation of properties located at 343 — 375 Alameda De Las Pulgas and a portion of the
Alameda between Harding Avenue up to the Hetch Hetchy right-of-way. Moreover, the Planning
Commission found that the prezoning to be in the public interest and made a recommendation to
the City Council /Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) to initiate a Zoning Map
Amendment and pre -zoned the subject properties to the "R -1" Single - Family Residential Zoning
Designation. On January 14., 2008, the City Council introduced an Ordinance to prezone
properties located at 343, 357, 367 & 375 Alameda De Las Pulgas to Residential - Single Family
(R -1) Zoning District. On June 18, 2008, LAFCO approved the proposed annexation by
resolution. The annexation became effective 30 calendar days later on July 18, 2008.
