After various <br /> efforts, the Redwood City, City Council took action at its Council meeting on June 9, 2014 to <br /> approve a Resolution of Intent to initiate proceedings to formulate the District. Enclosed you <br /> will find the following documents for review which are incorporated with this notice: <br /> • Resolution of Intent <br /> • Assessment Ballot for the parcels that you own in the proposed CBID <br /> • Return envelope for your ballot <br /> • CBID Management District Plan which identifies all the services that will be provided <br /> The proposed Downtown Redwood City CBID serves to improve the individual parcels, attract <br /> new residents, business and customers to their businesses, and enhance the benefiting <br /> individual parcels within the CBID. The proposed CBID seeks to fund special benefits that will <br /> be provided over the next fifteen years, based upon keeping the Downtown Redwood City <br /> area attractive, clean, safe, orderly, well marketed with special events and programs, thus <br /> making the district a high quality place to live and entertain guests and to increase commerce <br /> within the boundaries. <br /> The balloting process to establish this district commences on June 12, 2014 and culminates at <br /> the Redwood City, City Council Meeting Public Hearing on this topic on Monday, July 28, 2014 <br /> at 7:OOpm. In order to be counted, ballots must be received by the City Clerk prior to the close <br /> of the public comment portion of the public hearing. Please return your ballot in the self - <br /> addressed envelope and be sure to do the following: <br /> • Review the two assessment ballot options to approve or disapprove the Downtown <br /> Redwood City Community Benefits Improvement District assessment and mark your <br /> option to approve or disapprove <br /> • Sign the assessment ballot <br /> • Place the completed assessment ballot in the return envelope <br /> 1 <br />
