Prepare and present persuasive arguments/recommendations. Communicate effectively orally in and writing with a variety of individuals, including City officials, management staff, employees and service providers. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Experience: Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Four years of progressively responsible experience in the administration of human resources or risk management programs with at least two years in the area of Workers' Compensation. Supervisory experience is highly desirable. Education: Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in finance, public administration, business administration or a related field. A Master's degree is desirable. License or Certification: Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate valid California driver's license. Designation as an Associate in Risk Management by the Insurance Institute of America is desirable. Saecial Requirements: Essential duties require the following physical abilities and work environment: Ability to work in a standard office environment and to travel to different sites and locations as needed.
