5. SPECIAL ORDER(S) OF THE DAY <br /> A. Recognition of Ryan Traynor for his contributions to the community - <br /> Jeffrey Gee, Mayor <br /> Mayor Gee introduced Mr. Traynor as an exceptional young man, reviewed some of the <br /> many valuable contributions he has made to the community, and presented him with the <br /> certificate of recognition on behalf of the City Council. Mr. Traynor expressed his <br /> gratitude for the recognition and thanks for his parents and others who have supported <br /> him along the way. <br /> 6. PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> Tania Sole, a floating home resident of Docktown spoke about several items she shared <br /> on her weekly online blog regarding the community at Docktown, and the Inner Harbor <br /> Task Force. She added that she spoken several times about the process and while <br /> referencing the State Lands Commission she asked that floating homes be <br /> grandfathered in. <br /> John Gammon opined that there is an infrastructure issue at the Jefferson Avenue <br /> underpass, coming Eastbound on Jefferson Avenue, because there is not enough room. <br /> He suggested taking out the planter so that there will be a longer right-hand turn lane <br /> and allow more traffic to flow under the underpass. <br /> Amanda Folena, Artistic Director of Broadway by the Bay, spoke about Evita being <br /> performed at the Fox Theater and that this show has been doing well and is going in its <br /> last weekend. She invited everyone to the show and noted that tickets can be <br /> purchased online, at the box office or through Broadway by the Bay. <br /> Council Member Pierce spoke in support of the show and thanked this organization for <br /> being a resource to many. <br /> 7. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> CITY COUNCIL: Waive reading of the consent calendar and the full text of ordinances <br /> and resolutions, and approve the Consent Calendar items. <br /> M/S Seybert/Aguirre to approve the Consent Calendar. Motion carried unanimously <br /> by electronic vote with Vice Mayor Foust absent. <br /> 1. Section - Motion(s) <br /> A.
