PUBLIC HEARING(S) <br /> A. Fiscal Year 2014-15 Budget Adoption (501) <br /> Dr. Bell provided the staff report with a synopsis of all the meetings leading to the public <br /> hearing tonight. He thanked the City Council for the clear direction and the leadership. <br /> One Council Member thanked the City Manager and agreed with "putting back" some of <br /> the things and continue to looking at technology and encourage to be creative and <br /> innovative. She believes this is a wise use of our resources for our community. She <br /> appreciates the rationale for the current budget approach. <br /> One Council Member thanked the City Manager and his team for giving the Council a <br /> balanced budget in two ways —financially, and the fact that it balances the needs of the <br /> community as well. Another Council Member said he is particularly pleased with the <br /> reinstating Engine 9. <br /> Mayor Gee opened the Public Hearings for item 8.A and 8.B. There was no public <br /> comment. <br /> MIS Seybert/ Bain to Close the Public Hearings.
