8.B. - Page 8 <br /> e. Ornamental landscapes or turf not supplied through a dedicated <br /> irrigation meter with potable water shall only be irrigated twice per week as <br /> follows: addresses ending with an odd number shall only irrigate ornamental <br /> landscapes or turf on Mondays and Thursdays, and addresses ending with an <br /> even number shall only irrigate on Tuesdays and Fridays. It is prohibited to <br /> irrigate ornamental landscapes or turf with potable water on Saturdays, Sundays <br /> or Wednesdays; and <br /> f. For ornamental landscapes or turf that are supplied with potable <br /> water through a dedicated irrigation meter billed by Redwood City to customers <br /> through budget based water rates, the customer shall reduce irrigation usage of <br /> potable water by 20% of their allotted irrigation water budget. <br /> 2. The Council finds that these Outdoor Water Use Restrictions implemented <br /> as a result of State Water Resources Control Board's July 15, 2014 emergency drought <br /> regulations were taken in compliance with Stage 2 of the City's Water Shortage <br /> Contingency Plan. <br /> 3. The Council finds that adoption of the Outdoor Water Use Restrictions <br /> meets the requirements of California Code of Regulations, Title 23, Section 865(b)(1), <br /> which the City interprets to require implementing Stage 2 of the Water Shortage <br /> Contingency Plan pertaining to mandatory restrictions to outdoor irrigation of <br /> ornamental landscapes or turf with potable water. <br /> 4. The Outdoor Water Use Restrictions will remain in effect for the 270 day <br /> period specified in SWRCB Resolution No. 2014-0038, or as extended by the SWRCB, <br /> ATTY/RES0.3006/CC Outdoor Water Use Restrictions <br /> REV:08-21-14 VR-MLG <br /> Page 4 of 5 <br />
