7.1.D. - Page 1 <br /> REPORT <br /> To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br /> From the City Manager <br /> August 25, 2014 <br /> SUBJECT <br /> Amendment No. 2 to the Agreement for Information Technology (IT) Support to the <br /> City of East Palo Alto <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 2 to the <br /> Agreement for Information Technology Support Between the City of Redwood City and <br /> the City of East Palo Alto, extending the agreement from July 1, 2014 - June 30, <br /> 2015,and generating approximately $310,120 of revenue to Redwood City. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> Continuously since September 1 , 2007, the City of Redwood City has provided <br /> information technology services to the City of East Palo Alto through an agreement and <br /> one amendment. Amendment No. 1 adjusted the rates and extended the Term of the <br /> agreement through fiscal year 2013-14. <br /> On July 21 , 2014, the City of East Palo Alto agreed to the terms for a one-year <br /> amendment, Amendment No. 2, adjusting the rates and extending the services through <br /> fiscal year 2014-15. Amendment No. 2 as executed by the City of East Palo Alto is <br /> attached. <br /> ANALYSIS <br /> Since 2007 the City of Redwood City has provided information technology <br /> services to the City of East Palo Alto. These services include technology infrastructure <br /> design, implementation, and support, telephone system support, and end user desktop <br /> and application support. <br /> Approving this extension will allow Redwood City's Information Technology Division to <br /> continue supporting the City of East Palo Alto through fiscal year 2014-15, generating <br /> approximately $310,000 of revenue for Redwood City. <br /> ALTERNATIVES <br /> The Council could elect not to approve the amendment and discontinue providing <br /> information technology services to the City of East Palo Alto. This is not an advisable <br /> alternative as the City of East Palo Alto is one our largest customer in terms of <br />
