7.1.D. - Page 1 REPORT To the Honorable Mayor and City Council From the City Manager August 25, 2014 SUBJECT Amendment No. 2 to the Agreement for Information Technology (IT) Support to the City of East Palo Alto RECOMMENDATION By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 2 to the Agreement for Information Technology Support Between the City of Redwood City and the City of East Palo Alto, extending the agreement from July 1, 2014 - June 30, 2015,and generating approximately $310,120 of revenue to Redwood City. BACKGROUND Continuously since September 1 , 2007, the City of Redwood City has provided information technology services to the City of East Palo Alto through an agreement and one amendment. Amendment No. 1 adjusted the rates and extended the Term of the agreement through fiscal year 2013-14. On July 21 , 2014, the City of East Palo Alto agreed to the terms for a one-year amendment, Amendment No. 2, adjusting the rates and extending the services through fiscal year 2014-15. Amendment No. 2 as executed by the City of East Palo Alto is attached. ANALYSIS Since 2007 the City of Redwood City has provided information technology services to the City of East Palo Alto. These services include technology infrastructure design, implementation, and support, telephone system support, and end user desktop and application support. Approving this extension will allow Redwood City's Information Technology Division to continue supporting the City of East Palo Alto through fiscal year 2014-15, generating approximately $310,000 of revenue for Redwood City. ALTERNATIVES The Council could elect not to approve the amendment and discontinue providing information technology services to the City of East Palo Alto. This is not an advisable alternative as the City of East Palo Alto is one our largest customer in terms of
