EXHIBIT A SHINNYO-EN FOUNDATION GRANT TO REDWOOD CITY 2020 FOR "Stanford Public Interest Network(SPIN)Shinnyo Fellow" Grant Goal(s)*: Goals and Objectives: The SPIN Shinnyo Fellow will expand RWC 2020's organizational capacity by investing his/her talent on the collaborative's limited personnel resources. He/she will contribute to the Gardner Center by providing a tangible opportunity to fulfill the Center's commitment to youth development by supporting a young adult just out of college. The fellow also offers RWC 2020 the opportunity to assess the organizational steps needed to build and sustain its outcome evaluation efforts. The fellow will work approximately 30% of time at the Gardner Center and 70%of time at RWC 2020. The Fellow's role and responsibilities include: • Work closely with RWC 2020 leadership, along with Gardner Center representative, to develop and implement a work plan with tangible goals and collect data for use in measuring progress toward these goals using agreed upon indicators. • Serve as the operational liaison between the Gardner Center researchers and RWC 2020 staff and leaders. • Link Gardner Center and Haas Center efforts to build capacity for Stanford service- learning opportunities in Redwood City. • Serve as the point of contact for Shinnyo-en USA and the Foundation as they continue to strengthen the partnership with Redwood City and RWC 2020. • Help increase the Gardner Center and RWC 2020's visibility among students on the Stanford campus. • Help increase the Gardner Center and RWC 2020's online presence. *Any changes or adjustments to the grant goals or objectives must be reviewed by and have the prior approval of the Foundation.
