RESOLUTION NO. 14-14 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY THAT THE POTENTIAL SALE OF CITY-OWNED PROPERTY ALONG JEFFERSON AVENUE (APNs 053-171 -060 & 070) SUPPORTS AND IS CONSISTENT WITH THE GENERAL PLAN WHEREAS , Applicant, Greystar, has submitted an application for a Planned Community Permit for an residential project (the Project) bounded by the railroad tracks to the east, Jefferson Avenue to the north , Franklin Street to the south , and Wilson Street to the west, which is within the Downtown Precise Plan area ; and WHEREAS , the City of Redwood City (City) owns two separate lots of real property generally located along Jefferson Avenue in Redwood City (City Property), which makes up a portion of the Project proposed by Applicant; and WHEREAS , Applicant desires to acquire the City Property from the City and develop the Project; and WHEREAS, City has a Property Disposition policy that requires Planning Commission make a finding of consistency with the General Plan prior to sale of City Property; and WHEREAS , on September 2 , 2014 , the Commission held a duly noticed public hearing on the consistency of the potential sale of the property with the General Plan ; and WHEREAS , on September 2 , 2014 , the Commission considered the staff report, oral and written , and testimony and materials presented by all those wishing to be heard on this Project at the noticed public hearing on this matter; and WHEREAS , the Commission has determined that sale of the City Property would further the purposes of and appropriately implement the City of Redwood City General Plan . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS : Section 1 . The Planning Commission finds that the above recitals are accurate and constitute findings in this matter and , together with the Staff Report and the application materials, and all other documents, reports, studies, memoranda , maps, oral and written testimony, and materials in the City's file for the applications and the Project, and all adopted City planning documents relating to the Project and the property including the City's General Plan , ATTY/RES0.3009/PC Greystar Disposition of Property Rev: 08-25-14 VR Page 1 of 3
