RESOLUTION NO. 14-14 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY THAT THE POTENTIAL SALE OF <br /> CITY-OWNED PROPERTY ALONG JEFFERSON AVENUE <br /> (APNs 053-171 -060 & 070) SUPPORTS AND IS CONSISTENT <br /> WITH THE GENERAL PLAN <br /> WHEREAS , Applicant, Greystar, has submitted an application for a <br /> Planned Community Permit for an residential project (the Project) bounded by <br /> the railroad tracks to the east, Jefferson Avenue to the north , Franklin Street to <br /> the south , and Wilson Street to the west, which is within the Downtown Precise <br /> Plan area ; and <br /> WHEREAS , the City of Redwood City (City) owns two separate lots of real <br /> property generally located along Jefferson Avenue in Redwood City (City <br /> Property), which makes up a portion of the Project proposed by Applicant; and <br /> WHEREAS , Applicant desires to acquire the City Property from the City <br /> and develop the Project; and <br /> WHEREAS, City has a Property Disposition policy that requires Planning <br /> Commission make a finding of consistency with the General Plan prior to sale of <br /> City Property; and <br /> WHEREAS , on September 2 , 2014 , the Commission held a duly noticed <br /> public hearing on the consistency of the potential sale of the property with the <br /> General Plan ; and <br /> WHEREAS , on September 2 , 2014 , the Commission considered the staff <br /> report, oral and written , and testimony and materials presented by all those <br /> wishing to be heard on this Project at the noticed public hearing on this matter; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS , the Commission has determined that sale of the City Property <br /> would further the purposes of and appropriately implement the City of Redwood <br /> City General Plan . <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS : <br /> Section 1 . The Planning Commission finds that the above recitals are <br /> accurate and constitute findings in this matter and , together with the Staff Report <br /> and the application materials, and all other documents, reports, studies, <br /> memoranda , maps, oral and written testimony, and materials in the City's file for <br /> the applications and the Project, and all adopted City planning documents <br /> relating to the Project and the property including the City's General Plan , <br /> ATTY/RES0.3009/PC Greystar Disposition of Property <br /> Rev: 08-25-14 VR <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br />
