CGM:sw:2/2/78 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> FEB 13, 1978 <br /> R E S O L U T I O N NO. 7999 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ABANDONING PORTION OF ALDEN STREET IN THE <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH PART 3 OF <br /> DIVISION 9, STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE OF THE STATE OF <br /> CALIFORNIA <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Part 3 (commencing at <br /> §8300) of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the <br /> State of California, the Council of the City of Redwood City by <br /> its Resolution No. 7988, adopted January 23 , 1978, declared its <br /> intention to vacate the hereinafter described portion of Alden <br /> Street; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said provisions of the Streets and <br /> Highways Code, notice of intention to vacate and abandon the <br /> described portion of the abovementioned street has been published <br /> and posted; and <br /> WHEREAS, a public hearing has been held and evidence taken; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. The Council of the City of Redwood City finds that the <br /> hereinafter described portion of Alden Street is unnecessary for <br /> present or prospective public purposes and hereby orders said <br /> portion of Alden Street vacated. <br /> 2. The portion of Alden Street vacated is described as <br /> follows: <br /> All that certain real property situate in the <br /> City of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State of <br /> California, said real property being more particularly <br /> described as follows: <br /> BEGINNING at the most northerly corner of Parcel B <br /> as said parcel is shown on that certain parcel map <br /> entitled "PARCEL MAP 69-3 , IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA BEING A <br /> SUBDIVISION OF A PORTION OF FRACTIONAL SECTION 18 , <br /> TOWNSHIP 5 SOUTH RANGE 3 WEST, MOUNT DIABLO BASE & MERIDIAN" , <br /> 7 9 9 9 <br />
