C <br /> Where voting machines are uSed 'at said General Municipal Election., <br /> said voting machines shall be arranged (1) so that any qualified <br /> elector may vote for any Charter amendment proposition by pulling <br /> down a lever adjacent to the word "YES" under or near a statement <br /> of the Charter amendment proposition appearing on the cardboard, paper <br /> or other material placed on the front of the machine, and said act <br /> shall constitute a vote for the proposition; and (2) so that any <br /> qualified elector may vote against any such Charter amendment <br /> proposition by pulling down a lever adjacent to the word "NO" under <br /> or near said statement of the proposition so placed on the front of <br /> the machine, and said act shall constitute a vote against the <br /> proposition. Said voting machines and the preparation thereof shall <br /> comply in all respects with the requirements of law. <br /> (d) The returns of said election shall be made out and signed <br /> by the election officers and as otherwise required by law and shall <br /> be deposited with the City Clerk; and this Council shall meet at its <br /> ususal meeting place and canvass said returns at its regular meeting <br /> on Monday, the 17th day of April, 1978 (being the first Monday after <br /> said election) , at the hour of 7:30 p.m. , and declare the results <br /> of said General Municipal Election. <br /> SECTION 2 . Provisions proposed to be added by amendment are . <br /> indicated hereinafter by underlining in the text of the proposed <br /> amendments, and provisions proposed to be deleted or repealed are <br /> shown by lining through in such text. If approved, Charter provisions <br /> affected by an amendment shall be enacted without such underlining <br /> or lining through. <br /> SECTION 3. (a) The Council of Redwood City hereby proposes, <br /> on its own motion, to amend Section 3-1/2 -of the Charter of the City <br /> of Redwood City, to read as follows: <br /> "SECTION 3-1/2. ACQUISITION AND DISPOSAL OF PROPERTY: <br /> -2- <br />
