REPORT <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br /> <br />September 22, 2014 <br /> <br />SUBJECT <br />Annexation of 764 Hillcrest Drive, Assessor’s Parcel Number 058-271-060, to the Oak <br />Knoll Sewer Maintenance District <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Adopt a resolution consenting to the sewer annexation of 764 Hillcrest Drive, APN 058- <br />271-060, to the County’s Oak Knoll Sewer Maintenance District subject to the following <br />conditions, and approving and authorizing the City Manager to execute an Annexation <br />Agreement with the property owner. <br /> <br />1. Property owner pays a sewer connection fee of $550.00 per connection to the City. <br />2. The property owner agrees to consent to future annexation of the property to the <br />City. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br />Pursuant to the Redwood City/Oak Knoll Sewer Maintenance District Agreement dated <br />March 18, 1958, the County of San Mateo and the property owner of 764 Hillcrest Drive, <br />APN 058-271-060 (location map attached), has requested the City’s consent to annex <br />this property to the Oak Knoll Sewer Maintenance District. Property and property owner <br />information is as follows. <br /> <br /> Name Assessor’s Parcel No. <br /> <br /> Michael Cocco, a married man and 058-271-060 <br /> Michael Cocco, a single man <br /> <br />ANALYSIS <br />The request was submitted by San Mateo County, and has been reviewed by the City’s <br />Community Development Department. The purpose of this request is to secure sanitary <br />sewer service from the Oak Knoll Sewer Maintenance District for the identified property. <br />The sewer capacity necessary to service this property is provided as part of a total <br />County allocation of 0.5 million gallons/day pursuant to the Emerald Lake Heights <br />Capacity Agreement between the County of San Mateo and the City of Redwood City <br />dated August 19, 1980. <br /> <br />7.3.C. - Page 1
