Items Provided by Permittee: <br /> (a) Sufficient volunteers present at the locations indicated on the course <br /> overview maps to safely monitor the routes and event closure areas. <br /> (b) The Permittee will notify all businesses and residents along the routes <br /> and within the affected event areas with sufficient time to allow for <br /> those businesses and residents to accommodate the parking and <br /> traffic restrictions associated with this event. <br /> (c) Medical response / First Aid personnel immediately available to <br /> address medical issues associated with this event. <br /> (d) The Permittee will pay for the services of five police department <br /> employees for traffic control on each day of the event. The department <br /> employees will be a combination of both sworn and non -sworn <br /> personnel if possible. It is anticipated the services of department <br /> personnel will be needed for approximately six (6) hours. Should <br /> public safety demands exceed the capabilities of assigned police <br /> personnel, additional police resources will be dedicated to this event. <br /> The cost of additional police personnel shall also be paid by the <br /> Permittee. The need for additional police resources shall be <br /> determined by a police department supervisor or his /her designee and <br /> promptly communicated to the on -site representative of Permittee. <br /> (f) The Permittee will be responsible for providing, placing, and collecting <br /> all traffic barricades and /or cones required for this event. <br /> (g) The Permittee, under the final direction of the police department, will <br /> post event advisory signs /no parking signs on the affected streets by <br /> 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 1st, 2014. The signs will announce <br /> the event and subsequent parking and traffic restrictions on Saturday <br /> October 4th from 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. <br /> (h) Waste reduction activities shall be implemented to comply with <br /> California State waste diversion mandate AB 939 - -The Integrated <br /> Waste Management Act - -to the extent feasible. <br />
