Items Provided by Permittee: (a) Sufficient volunteers present at the locations indicated on the course overview maps to safely monitor the routes and event closure areas. (b) The Permittee will notify all businesses and residents along the routes and within the affected event areas with sufficient time to allow for those businesses and residents to accommodate the parking and traffic restrictions associated with this event. (c) Medical response / First Aid personnel immediately available to address medical issues associated with this event. (d) The Permittee will pay for the services of five police department employees for traffic control on each day of the event. The department employees will be a combination of both sworn and non -sworn personnel if possible. It is anticipated the services of department personnel will be needed for approximately six (6) hours. Should public safety demands exceed the capabilities of assigned police personnel, additional police resources will be dedicated to this event. The cost of additional police personnel shall also be paid by the Permittee. The need for additional police resources shall be determined by a police department supervisor or his /her designee and promptly communicated to the on -site representative of Permittee. (f) The Permittee will be responsible for providing, placing, and collecting all traffic barricades and /or cones required for this event. (g) The Permittee, under the final direction of the police department, will post event advisory signs /no parking signs on the affected streets by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 1st, 2014. The signs will announce the event and subsequent parking and traffic restrictions on Saturday October 4th from 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (h) Waste reduction activities shall be implemented to comply with California State waste diversion mandate AB 939 - -The Integrated Waste Management Act - -to the extent feasible.
