w MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN SEQUOIA UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT, REDWOOD CITY 2020,AND CITY OF REDWOOD CITY ACTING AS FISCAL AGENT FOR REDWOOD CITY 2020 FOR FISCAL YEAR 2014-15 THIS MEMO 1ANDUM QF UNDERSTANDING ("MOU") is made and entered into as of the day of 2014, by and between SEQUOIA UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT ("SUHSD"), R`EDWOOD CITY 2020 (a collaboration comprised of eight partners, including City of Redwood City, Redwood City Elementary School District, Sequoia Union High School District, County of San Mateo (Health System and Human Services Agency), Sequoia Healthcare District, John W. Gardner Center for Youth and their Communities—Stanford University, Kaiser Permanente, and First 5 of San Mateo County) and CITY OF REDWOOD CITY ("City")Acting as Fiscal Agent for Redwood City 2020. Collectively, SUHSD, Redwood City 2020, and City are hereinafter referred to as the"Parties." SUBJECT: Redwood City 2020's funding of a Mental Health Clinician at Sequoia High School's Sequoia Teen Resource Center. RECITALS A. Redwood City 2020 is a Community Collaborative that coordinates the delivery of services to children, youth and families living in the City of Redwood City and North Fair Oaks, an unincorporated area adjacent to Redwood City. Redwood City 2020 is made up of eight partners, including City of Redwood City, Redwood City Elementary School District, Sequoia Union High School District, County of San Mateo (Health System and Human Services Agency), Sequoia Healthcare District, John W. Gardner Center for Youth and their Communities — Stanford University, Kaiser Permanente, and First 5 of San Mateo County to provide leadership and oversight necessary to develop a coordinated approach to strengthen academic and social outcomes for children and youth living within the attendance area of the Redwood City School District and provide valuable resources to families so they can be successful primary caregivers to their children. B. City serves as fiscal agent for Redwood City 2020 and as such contracts for services required by Redwood City 2020. C. Redwood City 2020 desires to collaborate with SUHSD to provide funding for a Mental Health Clinician to provide services at Sequoia High School in the Sequoia Teen Resource Center for a maximum of ten hours per week until June 30, 2015. D. The Parties specifically acknowledge and agree that the Mental Health Clinician is not an employee of the City of Redwood City or Redwood City 2020 and is not entitled to, and does not obtain, any rights, privileges or benefits as those conferred upon Redwood City or Redwood City 2020 employees. NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of these recitals and the mutual covenants contained herein,the Parties agree as follows: ARTICLE I—BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES SUHSD seeks funding from Redwood City 2020 to fund one Mental Health Clinician at Sequoia High School who will provide services in the Sequoia Teen Resource Center for the 2014-2015 school year. The clinician will provide a maximum of ten hours per week of counseling services while school is in session, not to exceed a total cost of$10,500.00 under this MOU.
