1. Term. Unless earlier terminated, the term of this MOU is from the date first above written <br /> until June 30, 2015. <br /> 2. Scope of Services ("Services"). SUHSD will employ one Director of Sequoia High <br /> School's Sequoia Teen Resource Center("STRC")for the 2014-15 school year. <br /> The Director shall carry out the following responsibilities: <br /> 1.) Provide leadership to the Center's operations; <br /> 2.) Coordinate and integrate student support services with the school's academic and <br /> extracurricular programs; <br /> 3.) Expand collaborative partners and raise additional resources to support the ongoing <br /> success of the Center; and <br /> 4.) Assist with the design and implementation of outcome evaluation efforts to track the <br /> impact of the STRC. <br /> The Director shall also perform the following tasks: <br /> • Provide leadership and oversee the operations of the Sequoia Teen Resource Center; <br /> • Coordinate and manage the development and implementation of community school- <br /> based mental health, social, and youth development services that enhance the health <br /> and safety of children and families and improve educational outcomes of students; <br /> • Monitor the STRC budget and provide fiscal management; <br /> • Oversee, supervise, and manage staff, volunteers, and interns; <br /> • Develop and foster supportive governance structure that includes public and community- <br /> based organizations, school staff, and youth; <br /> • Manage program communications in response to changing needs; <br /> • Research and act on funding opportunities, including grant writing, report writing, and <br /> donor development; <br /> • Regularly report on the status of implementation of STRC to Redwood City 2020; <br /> • Lead and support outcome evaluation and reporting processes; and <br /> • Ensure the successful implementation of strategic plans developed by STRC <br /> collaborating partners. <br /> In addition to the above, the Director shall perform the following tasks for the Alcohol and Other <br /> Drug Prevention Partnership Grant: <br /> • Provide on-site support and coaching of STRC partners to facilitate AOD prevention <br /> programs at Sequoia High School. Provide technical assistance, facilitate relationship <br /> building with school staff, connect to other resources in the community, act as liaison <br /> between school administration and partners, guide recruitment efforts, and assist <br /> program development; <br /> • Facilitate monthly STRC staff meetings to ensure collaboration between partner <br /> agencies and share prevention strategies. In addition, facilitate two to three meetings <br /> annually with StarVista and Center for Youth staff to plan AOD prevention efforts at <br /> Sequoia; <br /> • Meet with school administration, guidance counselors, SAFE After School Coordinator, <br /> AmeriCorps case managers, Wellness Center staff, and other school staff to monitor all <br /> prevention programs at Sequoia High School; <br /> • Raise awareness among all Teen Resource Center Partners regarding connection <br /> between AOD prevention efforts and overall youth development strategies; <br /> • Meet with SUHSD Wellness Advisory Council on issues related to AOD prevention; and <br /> REV:09-16-14 MLG <br /> Page 2 of 4 <br /> ATTY/AGR.2014.176/MOU Funding for STRC Director 14 15 <br />
