EXHIBIT "A" <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> ➢ Initial En a ement: Scope of Services to be completed by Consultant for the <br /> $10,000 engagement fee inciude: <br /> • Consulting with hiring manager(s) and principals to review/revise job <br /> profile/description for the Communications Manager position; <br /> • Ascerfain Redwood City's needs and the talent proficiencies required <br /> beyond the written job description and consult with Redwood City to <br /> ensure alignmenf of desires with needs; <br /> • Creation of a recruitment strategy and ideal talent profile; <br /> . Research of competitive talent landscape; <br /> • Creation of a compelling positioning statement for use as part of a <br /> proactive marketing campaign to intrigue passive candidates to <br /> Redwood City's opportunity (act as Redwood City's opportunity <br /> marketer); <br /> • Positioning/profiling of passive talent and initial talent contact; <br /> • Communication of Redwood City's brand story; <br /> • Source, screen, assess talent pool then conduct candidate interviews, <br /> finding the best talent obtainable that are interested in Redwood City's <br /> opportunity; <br /> • Presentation of viable candidates; <br /> . Scheduling of initial phone and in-person interviews beiween candidates <br /> and Redwood City; <br /> • Gathering of feedback with interviewers and the candidates; <br /> • Continual communication and engagement with Redwood City to keep <br /> abreast of any changes in the hiring process; <br /> • Continual communication and engagement with candidates of interest <br /> to Redwood City during the hiring process to attempt to ensure <br /> candidates are not lost to other job offers while Redwood City conducts <br /> due diligence; <br /> • Continual updates and progress reports weekly to Redwood City <br /> throughout process; <br /> . Initial Engagement Duration: 8 weeks from initial kick-off ineeting <br /> (currently scheduled for the week of 9/22) or 3 candidates interviewed by <br /> Redwood City,whichever comes first;and <br /> • Hager understands the need for and agrees to allow for flexibility <br /> regarding the initial engagement period timeframe as it pertains to <br /> constraints in scheduling of interviews between Redwood City staff and <br /> potential candidates; Redwood City subsequently agrees to moke a <br /> good faith effort with regard to scheduling of candidate interviews in a <br /> timely manner. <br /> ➢ For avoidance of doubt and clarification purposes only, this is an illustrated <br /> example for Total Compensation (TC) if Consultant secures a successful <br /> placement, and credit to City for$10,000 engagement fee applied to TC: <br /> • For$107,000 total estimated base salary for successful placement <br /> . 18%of which constitutes the successful search fee in total or$19,260 <br /> . $10,000 nonrefundable fee due upon search start ($9,260 remainder� <br /> . $9,260 due from City to Consultant upon offer acceptance. <br /> ATTY/AGR/2014.180/HAGER EXECUTIVE SEARCH <br /> REV:09-30-14 MLG <br /> Page 5 of 6 <br />
