P- 2250 <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING GRANT FROM THE U.S. <br /> DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY UNDER THE PORT'S <br /> FY 2014 PORT SECURITY GRANT PROGRAM AND <br /> AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF DOCUMENTS <br /> WHEREAS, on or about May 23�' 2014, the Port of Redwood City (the <br /> "Port") applied for a grant with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security under <br /> the Port's FY 2014 Port Security Grant Program (the "Grant") ; and <br /> WHEREAS, Port's application (the "Application") for the Grant has been <br /> approved by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (the "Approval") in the <br /> sum of$328,750.00; and <br /> WHEREAS, The Grant requires that the Port contribute a cost match in <br /> the amount of$109,583.00; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Port has reviewed the Approval documents received from <br /> the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PORT COMMISSIONERS OF <br /> THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. The City of Redwood City, acting by and through its Board of Port <br /> Commissioners, accepts the Grant in the amount of Three Hundred Twenty <br /> Eight Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty and no/100 Dollars ($328,750.00) from the <br /> U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Port Executive Director (Port <br /> Manager), and/or his designee, is hereby authorized and directed to execute all <br /> Reso 226 � <br /> Port/Reso <br /> F"S Scanned <br /> 09/26/14 <br />
