ROUND TABLE <br /> Commissioner Buckhout inquired as to the nature of the California Parks <br /> and Recreation Society District IV Parks Operation Workshop held in <br /> Redwood City during January and wondered if it would have been infor- <br /> mative for Commissioners to have attended . Mr . Weeks indicated that <br /> the Workshop was quite technical in nature and that although Commis - <br /> sioners would be welcomed , it is unlikely that it would have been truly <br /> beneficial in adding to their understanding of park operations . The <br /> subject matter generally concerns specific techniques and practices <br /> rather than general operational problems . <br /> Commissioner Anderson asked if a tour of the park facilities was going <br /> to be conducted for the new Commissioners . Mr . Weeks reminded the Com- <br /> mission that at one time , they had planned to tour the parks once each <br /> quarter . Further discussion ensued and a park tour was scheduled for <br /> Saturday , March 5 , 12 : 30 p . m . <br /> MOTION : There being no further business , Commissioner <br /> Buckhout moved , seconded by Commissioner Weintraub , <br /> that the meeting be adjourned . The motion carried <br /> unanimously by voice vote and the meeting was adjourned <br /> at 10 : 13 p . m . <br /> - 5 - <br />
