7.1.D. - Page 3
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds for the 2014 -2015 Sanitary Sewer Replacement Project have been previously
approved and appropriated in Fiscal Year 2014/15 budget as Sewer Fund Capital
Projects — Collection System Replacement Program with an available balance of
$2,982,964.34 as of August 31, 2014.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
As the lead agency, City of Redwood City has determined that the 2014 -2015 Sanitary
Sewer Replacement Project meets the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)
exemption criteria as set forth in CEQA Guidelines Section 15302, ( "Replacement or
Reconstruction ") of the CEQA regulations. Furthermore, this project has been designed
compliant with the City's Engineering Standards and accepted practices.
This project does not require a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System
(NPDES) General Permit for stormwater discharges associated with construction and
land disturbance activities pursuant to Attachment A.2 of Order 2010 - 0014 -DWQ which
exempts projects to update existing lines and facilities. However, the proposed
construction will employ stormwater pollution prevention best methods and practices.
JOEL B.
