10/20/2014 <br /> Goals and <br /> Policies 2 0 1 5 . 2 0 2 3 H O U S I N G <br /> Policy H-1.2: Encourage resident involvement and engage stakeholders and <br /> neighborhood organizations in identifying and addressing <br /> housing and neighborhood needs in partnership with the City. <br /> Policy H-1.3: Support the acquisition, rehabilitation, and maintenance of <br /> aging housing stock. <br /> Policy H-1.4: Cultivate neighborhoods that are healthy and safe <br /> environments to live. <br /> Policy H-1.5: Work to preserve existing affordable housing that is considered <br /> at risk of converting to market level rents. <br /> GOAL H-2: Promote, encourage, and assist in the development of housing that meets the <br /> needs of all socio-economic segments of the community. <br /> Policy H-2.1: Pursue and maximize the use of State, federal, local, and private <br /> funding for the development, preservation, and rehabilitation of <br /> housing affordable to very low-, low-, and moderate-income <br /> households. <br /> Policy H-2.2: Support collaborative partnerships with nonprofit organizations, <br /> developers, neighborhoods, and State and federal agencies to <br /> develop, rehabilitate, preserve, and retain affordable housing. <br /> Policy H-2.3: Continue to promote homeownership assistance programs as a <br /> means of enhancing neighborhood stability.
