7.3.A. - Page 5 <br /> EXHIBIT "A" <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES AND FEE <br /> Consultant will provide current and long range professional planning services to the City <br /> of Redwood City under the direction of the Community Development Director. <br /> Assistant Planners <br /> Consultant will provide Apollo Rojas, Assistant Planner on a full -time basis and William <br /> Chui, Assistant Planner on a part -time basis. The Assistant Planners will provide <br /> professional planning assistance at the public counter, respond to phone and email <br /> inquiries, process entitlements including but not limited to: architectural permits; sidewalk <br /> cafe permits; zoning verification letters; conditional use permits; minor zoning <br /> amendments; complete planning plan checks and other projects assigned by the <br /> Community Development Director, Planning Manager, and Principal Planner consistent <br /> with the duties of the Redwood City Assistant Planner job description provided below. <br /> General supervision of these positions would be provided by the Planning Manager and <br /> Principal Planner. <br /> Assistant Planner $75 /hour <br /> Mileage Current IRS rate <br /> Expenses Direct billing <br /> City of Redwood City <br /> Assistant Planner /Associate Planner <br /> Definition <br /> To perform professional level work in the field of current or advanced planning and <br /> environmental analysis including zoning and planning administration and resource data <br /> management. <br /> Distinguishing Characteristics <br /> Assistant Planner: This is the entry level class in the professional planning series. <br /> Work involves the responsibility for assignments in the fields of current or advanced <br /> planning which require the application of fundamental planning principles. Assignments <br /> are generally moderately difficult in scope, but within the design and procedural <br /> framework established by higher level employees. As experience is acquired, the <br /> employee performs with increasing independence.
