7.3.A. - Page 7 <br /> Experience: One year of responsible experience in a city planning department. <br /> Training: Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with <br /> major course work in city or regional planning, architecture, or a related field considered <br /> useful in city planning. <br /> License or Certificate: Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid driver's <br /> license. <br /> Special Requirements <br /> Essential duties require the following physical abilities and work environment: Ability to <br /> work in a standard office environment with some ability to travel to different locations. <br /> Principal Planner <br /> Consultant will also provide Lisa Costa Sanders, Principal Planner to assist with larger, <br /> complex planning project management. Ms. Costa Sanders, acting as a Contract <br /> Principal Planner, will process planning entitlements and long range planning projects <br /> including but not limited to: general plan and zoning code amendments; design review; <br /> conditional use permits and manage City consultants for the preparation of Mitigated <br /> Negative Declaration and Environmental Impact Reports, assigned by the Community <br /> Development Director or Planning Manager consistent with the duties of the Redwood <br /> City Principal Planner job description provided below. This position would work primarily <br /> on cost - recovery projects, whereby the costs associated with this contract Principal <br /> Planner would be reimbursed by project applicants. For assignments that are not cost <br /> recovery, Consultant shall produce a scope of work and budget to be associated with the <br /> assignment, and shall receive written confirmation from the City prior to commencement <br /> of work.
