9.A. - Page 29 <br /> As the City of Redwood City manages the Downtown Parking Program, it will measure the <br /> impact /effectiveness of existing and new parking management policies. Measurements will <br /> consist of periodic data collection updates for the downtown core and periphery areas, <br /> specifically on- street metered locations, in order to measure the impact policies on parking <br /> behavior in order to meet identified goals such as: <br /> • Improving both the employee and visitor parking experiences; <br /> • Reducing the use of on- street parking by downtown employees as long -term <br /> parking; and <br /> • Managing observed high parking occupancies and lack of parking turnover. <br /> Data collection will include: <br /> • Hourly license plate data collection in the core; and <br /> • Bi- hourly to timepoint -based (for certain times of day) occupancy data collection in <br /> the periphery. <br /> The following is a proposed report outline to provide continual feedback to Redwood City <br /> Council, staff, and nearby businesses and visitors, and the general public. <br />
